Dubai Municipality has announced the launch of ‘Ehsan Stations’, a new humanitarian initiative designed to support the feeding of stray animals across the emirate.
The project introduces smart feeding stations powered by artificial intelligence (AI) that aim to improve how stray animals are cared for while also helping authorities better understand animal activity in public areas.
According to Dubai Municipality, the initiative is part of its broader efforts to promote compassion, animal welfare, environmental sustainability, and responsible community practices.
‘Ehsan Stations’ are smart feeding devices installed in public areas that provide food for stray cats while using technology to monitor activity around the stations.
The devices combine feeding systems with AI-powered monitoring technology that can identify stray animals and collect data to help manage feeding practices.
The initiative is considered the first of its kind in the region.

Dubai Municipality has installed 12 smart devices across the emirate:
These locations were selected to support areas where stray animals are commonly present.
The stations use AI technology to monitor and manage stray animal feeding.
According to the initiative’s information, the system can:
This technology helps ensure that feeding is organized, controlled, and beneficial for both animals and the surrounding environment.

Dubai Municipality highlighted several goals behind the project:
By providing designated feeding points, the initiative aims to encourage more responsible and organized ways of caring for stray animals.
The launch of ‘Ehsan Stations’ reflects Dubai Municipality’s ongoing efforts to encourage community responsibility and compassion toward animals.
Through the use of smart technology and strategic placement of feeding stations, the initiative seeks to balance animal welfare, public space management, and environmental sustainability.
