What is Dog Fostering?

Fostering a dog is an act of taking care of a shelter dog, until is adopted. It also means that you will be showering your foster with love, care and attention.

How Long Can You Foster A Dog

The usually period of fostering a dog is a minimum of 2 weeks, as it takes time for them to adjust to a new home, their surroundings and people around them. This also gives ample time for you and your foster to bond – which may eventually lead to a forver home.

Steps to Fostering a Dog

  1. Fit out an application form
  2. Application is screened – wherein you need to provide your credentials along with a tenancy country stating that pets are allowed
  3. Once your application is approved, you can choose your furry buddy to take home
  4. You will usually be provided with a basic pack consisting of – food, leash, beddings and feeders

Open up your home and show these shelter dogs some love, even if its just for a short while. Help them come out of their shell and eventually find their forever home.
