Meet Yuri – Adoption Success Story

As we’ve recently launched the adoption section on our website, we wanted to start this initiative to feature adoption tails of these lovely souls that have found their pawfect soulmate and home that they could now call their own.

This week we’re featuring the adoption story of Yuri the Samoyed mix.

Tell us the story of Yuri and why did you adopt her?

We adopted Yuri (previously Moana) in April 2019 where we saw her listed in the Aleef app under Dubai Municipality.

I saw this scrawny looking doggo with sad eyes and immediately requested for adoption wherein I patiently waited for 3 days to get an update. And voila!

I got a call asking me to bring a copy of our tenancy contract and my ID and pass by the Khawaneej Veterinary Section to meet her.

From then on she has been the best support system and best friend that anyone could ask for!

How did adopting Yuri change your life?

“Yuri has been a great support in times when I suffered depression, anxiety, and experiencing the loss of my mother and grandfather, she is a smart, loving and sometimes clingy doggo but she’s the best friend that anyone could ask for.”

She literally lifted our souls up, has helped me snap out of my depression and anxiety and is just a total joy to have in our home.

Yuri loves going out to the park, socializing with other doggos, going on hikes, camping and just being adventurous.
